U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his intention to swiftly conclude the ongoing military operations against Iran, claiming that the United States is advancing toward its objectives “faster than planned.” According to reports from Al Jazeera, the President asserted that Iran’s strategic capabilities have been crippled, with its missile strength reportedly falling below 10 percent.

Diplomatic Maneuvers and Threats

The President’s assessment followed a significant phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who expressed a willingness to assist in de-escalating the Middle East conflict. Despite the diplomatic chatter, Trump maintained a hardline stance. In a social media post, he issued a stern warning to Tehran: if Iran attempts to block the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. will retaliate with strikes “twenty times harder” than those witnessed so far.

Defiance from Tehran

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) swiftly rejected Trump’s claims of a near-victory. IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini dismissed the President’s statements as an attempt to mask “humiliating defeats” with “fake victory” claims.

“It is Iran, not the United States, that will determine the end of this war,” Naeini declared, adding that the Iranian armed forces remain resilient and continue to launch retaliatory strikes.

Ongoing Regional Conflict

The conflict, which escalated sharply after joint U.S.-Israeli strikes began on February 28, continues to ravage the region:

Joint Operations: U.S. and Israeli forces are maintaining a high-tempo air campaign across Iran and Lebanon, targeting IRGC and Hezbollah strongholds.

Iranian Retaliation: Tehran continues to deploy missiles and drones, targeting Israeli territories and U.S. military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

Regional Impact: While Trump claims the Iranian navy has been largely neutralized, the IRGC insists its missile operations are ongoing with significant impact on regional U.S. infrastructure.
